I am an award-winning cinematographer with 15+ years of international experience in documentary and narrative film production.

My work has been broadcast on major networks including Al Jazeera’s Documentary Network, and Spain’s TVE and La Sexta. I was the director of photography on several features directed by Miguel Llansó which have screened at hundreds of festivals around the world, and won many awards including the Best First Feature and Audience Awards at the Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal, the Imaging the Future Award at the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival, and a Special Jury Mention at the Sitges Film Festival, amongst others. In addition, I recently won best Direction of Photography at the Madrid PNR Film Festival for a short called Human Trash.

When I’m on set, I pride myself on working hard and maintaining great vibes with all my collaborators, no matter what production hurdles may arise. Having lived and worked in Ethiopia for nearly 5 years, I have extensive experience collaborating with cross-cultural teams, and I’m adaptable even under the most challenging conditions, a skill that has served me well when shooting in places like Mali, India, Guatemala and Nigeria to name a few.

Wherever I work, I am committed to collaborating with my subjects to capture their reality with dignity, informed consent, and respect. I consider active listening and collaboration to be key in finding and capturing beautiful moments in the every day.

Originally from Spain, I moved to Vancouver in January 2020. I have a professional diploma in Direction of Photography and Camera Operation for Film and TV from TAI film school in Madrid, a BA in Audiovisual Communication from King Juan Carlos University, and a certificate from the Huston School of Film & Digital Media on Cinema & Human Rights.
